  The Fall signing period is quickly approaching on November 9th.  At this point in time the Flames will be expecting 6 signees with the 7th being 2 sport star Reese Mooney who is expected to sign in the early period with Football.  There's always the potential for changes at signing day but as of now here is how the Flames stack up.      Benjamin Blair - Blair is a 6'3 175 pound RHP from LCA that also plays for the South Charlotte Panthers.  Blair has topped out in the 90 mph range.  Blair appears to finish a lot of batters with a good off-speed pitch low in the zone and appears to have a nice 2 seamer or cutter that really bores in on RHH's.  He committed to the Flames in October of 21.  His frame and age would seem to project for the potential for more velocity.   Terry Kaler - Kaler is a 6-4 190 LB LHP from Concord NC that topped out at 91 MPH this summer.  Kaler finished his Junior season with 47 1/3 IP, a 1.48 ERA and 1.68 OBA.  Kaler appears to have good tilt and a
  Liberty Baseball has unveiled the 2023 baseball schedule.  The Flames will play 16 games against teams that made the NCAA Regionals and 8 games against Super Regional teams including 7 on the road vs VT, ECU & Southern Miss.  KSU, Wake, UVA & VCU also made the regionals. The goal is to challenge the team early and also keep the RPI up in the midweek games.  The Flames will open the year on the road at Southern Miss in a big time mid-major showdown that will get a lot of attention around the nation.  The Golden Eagles finished 23-7 in CUSA and #22 in the RPI and won their regional at home with wins over Kennesaw State and back to back wins against LSU after dropping the opener to LSU.  They would then host the Ole Miss Rebels in huge super regional against their hated in state rivals that had incredible atmosphere all through the post season.  The Rebels shut out the Golden Eagles in both games and silenced the massive crowds that showed up.  11.7's College Baseball will l
